SMC has broadened its chemical and consumables portfolio with additional grades and packaging options across quicklime, mineral processing reagents and laboratory supplies.
What has changed
- Quicklime available in lump, crushed and ground grades with a certificate of analysis per delivery
- Flotation reagent packages assembled against ore-specific bench test results
- Laboratory reagents, standards and labware available on a consolidated standing order
The additions respond to a recurring theme in customer feedback: chemical supply is often fragmented across several small vendors, which makes traceability and stock planning harder than it needs to be. Consolidating these lines with one supplier reduces the number of certificates, delivery windows and invoices a plant has to manage.
Stock and delivery
Fast-moving catalogue items are held locally, with bulk products shipped directly from production to site. Packaging options range from 25 kg sacks to bulk tanker delivery, depending on consumption rate and on-site storage.
Consistency between deliveries matters as much as the specification itself — a flotation circuit notices when the reagent changes.
